The Ties We Make
From Stitched Stories
Present day:
I stare at the tattered dragon plush sitting with a cheerful expression on
my shelf. My eyes lit up with gratitude, and I looked at my two best friends
sleeping in the sleeping bags beside mine. Once again, I look to the dragon.
I smile and think to myself. How is it possible that I could ever be this
lucky?
Trusting the Dark
From Stitched Stories
The rain seeped through the previously warm roof of my family's burrow. My
brothers and sisters and I huddled together, yet we shivered. Our home was
protected no more.
Uncharted Magic
From Stitched Stories
Nova woke up abruptly, startled by the sudden and loud ticking of the
morning-clock.
βIt's time.β She thought. Her aunt would finally teach her the ways of
witchcraft and how to carry on the extraordinarily high bar of her family's
legacy. And Nova had set an even higher bar for herself. Ever since her
parents lost a fight against an infant dragon and passed away, Nova had been
determined to win every battle, master every spell, and not end up like her
predecessors: disgraced and frowned upon.
A Net of Silence
From Stitched Stories
Michael ate his hotel breakfast at the buffet with his mom, dad, and sister.
His plate was loaded with many things: pancakes, eggs, pastries, and a glass
of orange juice. He could only finish half of it before declaring to family
that he was full. It wasn't entirely because the food was so heavy, but also
because Michael was so excited about this vacation. He and his family were
staying in a cozy, small, and lively town right next to the ocean.
